Mi.Maizey

For this project, my class was tasked with identifying a problem that students at DePaul University face and designing a solution. My group decided to address the challenge of navigating campus buildings, as DePaul has two campuses with complex layouts, including entrances and elevators that donā€™t always connect to every floor. This often makes it difficult for both new and returning students to find their classrooms.

Whatā€™s The Problem?

Mi.Maizey is an AI tool designed to help University of Michiganā€™s students by serving as a centralized resource for academic support, campus navigation, and community engagement. However, its effectiveness is limited due to a lack of clarity around its purpose, the scope and source of the information, and the inability to execute actionable requests it holds because it does not overtly tell users what it is, what it can accomplish, and how to use it most effectively. This confusion prevents students from fully understanding and utilizing the tool. Improving transparency regarding its capabilities, privacy policies, and data sources, as well as enhance student trust and engagement, will make the AI assistant more effective.

My Solution

Here are little videos of my results, and a peek to the Figma file of the wireframes, final results, and slide deck - if you want it. Or, scroll along to see it here!

Wireframing

Due to the time constraints and nature of the class, we skipped research and move straight into wireframes. Take a look!
